Comment and Summary of article
As the daughter of a mother who worked overseas, I always looked forward to receiving pasalubong from Mama when we were kids. It came every few months in the form of balikbayan(return [to] country) boxes filled with chocolates, canned goods, toiletries, cosmetics, clothes, shoes and anything else that couldn’t be bought or found in the Philippines. These handpicked items were carefully packed by my mother, sent in the hopes of filling the void left by a parent abroad.
Summary and Comment:
The writer's mother is a Filipino and worked abroad. She would send some materials for daily use to the writer every few months, and this is the most happiest thind foe the writer. The materials that mother sent to writer are rarely found in Philippines, adn those things are very precious for the writer, because they are something as hope to the writer.
The gift from the parents are as precious as gold for the people working or studying far away from home. I think children who can't live with parents are poor, because it is the age need to be took good care and accompanied by parents. Though some parents could not live with their children every day, i think their heart must connect to the kids every moment.
